A screenshot of a Facebook post by someone named Craig Christ, Ph.D. The post is dated two days prior to the screenshot. The post discusses the topic of fraud in Medicaid.
The post reads, βThere is something I realized last night when I heard some Republican complaining about all the βfraudβ in Medicaid. Medicaid does not pay people, they pay insurance companies or doctors. If there is βfraudβ, then why are regular people the target?β The post continues, βWant to eliminate Medicaid fraud? Get rid of the insurance companies and doctors that file false claims to Medicaid for reimbursement. Thatβs your fraud. Not old people in nursing homes. Not disabled kids. Not poor kids. Universal healthcare needs to happen and we can use their own stupid excuse against them when it is time.β

Can someone please point me to the best resource guide for protesting tomorrow? Preferably one that takes into account both op sec and practicality
[Like, if one does not drive to the protest, how does one get a Lyft home without a phone?]

Here's some good news to share.
In response to ICE fascists in unmarked vehicles refusing to provide identification or even warrants while kidnapping people, Cook Countyβs chief judge Timothy Evans has signed an order banning federal immigration agents from arresting people around local courthouses without a warrant.
Judge Evans "Reaffirmed the common law privilege against civil arrest while attending court."
Every Judge in America should be doing this. This is leadership & justice.

I'm feeling troubled by tomorrow's No Kings event. It's described as a protest, but the local one us at a park with booths and maps and everything. It feels more like a festival. And a festival of radical people getting together is cool. But to me "protest" implies becoming inconvenient to the powerful until something changes, and this feels like a dilution of the term. Am I off base here?

You know, I hear that the same permanent paint they use for identifying bank robbers can be used inside water balloons and then thrown at individuals who are hiding behind masks? I mean, all you would have to do is get just a little skin, and that shit would mark them for days. Letting people know who they were.
I hear the paint can be bought over the internet too.

Do you have a GitHub account?
One of the conversations at #FediForum revolved around accessibility for non-techies in the Open Social Web. One of the barriers raised was the reliance on spaces built for developers, such as GitHub. So, we're wondering, how many people on the Fediverse have a GitHub account?
