Pepper spray on your shit? When you get home strip that down and drop it straight into the wash. Scrub you and anything you didn’t put into the wash with detergent. If your eyes have it, gently run clean cold water over them for a while.
Pepper spray comes in a few forms. Bear spray is often oil. It offgases for hours (days IMHO). Gotta use detergents to get it out of stuff, or flush it for a long time with water. Pepper balls are often pepper dust, so rinsing and brushing can help.

Teargas grenades are usually hot. Don’t grab them with bare hands.
If cops are shooting at you with what looks like a regular gun, GTFO of there. Rubber bullets can kill you.
If a crazy redneck shoots up your protest, apply direct pressure to bullet wounds. Apply tourniquets “high and tight” to uncontrollable bleeding on extremities. Set up a casualty collection point where an ambulance can get to it, and drag wounded there. Dead people are dead, save the alive wounded.

Kansas City mayor blasts Missouri governor for activating National Guard before anti-Trump protests
Mayor Quinton Lucas called the action by Republican Mike Kehoe an "unnecessary escalation." He also criticized the state's lack of response when a white nationalist hate group marched through Kansas City last month.

I had the distinctly strange pleasure of making protest signs with my 74-year-old mom today. Here are our signs for the #NoKings march tomorrow.
My mom expressed sorrow that her upcoming international travel will be the first time she's been ashamed to be American. I told her I've always been mildly ashamed of it, and on top of that, I'm ashamed that I've never done anything about it until now.
It's past time to fix this.

There are many stories developing fast around Iran's retaliation against Israel. There are reports of Israel's Dimona nuclear reactor being struck but haven't seen an official confirmation.
Netanyahu fled earlier to Greece as well as many top ranking Israeli officials. They knew a strong retaliation was inevitable and, as the cowards they are, left their citizens.
American THAAD systems are being overwhelmed so while some missiles are getting intercepted, there is footage of many direct hits into various regions of Israel, not just Tel Aviv. Israel's Golden Dome is not infallible.

I might have guessed.
Do the arrest warrants not apply in Greece?
Stop using Big Tech to organize your protests! They're part of the authoritarian surveillance and oppression as well.

@sergiodomeyko Back in December, the Proton CEO seemed to support the Trump administration in his personal opinions, which was extremely disappointing (and incredibly naive in regards to privacy regulation).
However, Proton is still the best option in terms of privacy, security, and features, and nothing points to this being diminished in any ways.
Sadly, there isn't a strong alternative (yet), and Proton is still a much more ethical and secure choice than Google, Microsoft, or Apple products, despite its CEO's horrible political opinions (like all other CEOs it seems these days *sigh*).
I personally still use Proton, and will still recommend it until there's a more ethical equivalent around. Harm reduction must come first.
Things such as subject lines, timestamps, sender/recipient and some headers aren’t end‑to‑end encrypted meaning Proton can hand them over under a court order ([redirect9.com][1]). It’s been compelled to log and surrender IP addresses most famously in the 2021 French activist case prompting policy changes only after backlash ([welivesecurity.com][2]).
Proton deflects criticism by claiming “Google is worse,” framing transparency fixes as grudging compliance rather than ethical responsibility. This framing misleads users especially people who care about privacy into thinking Proton offers sanctuary, when in reality its metadata leaks can be used against them.
I would rather someone use a tool that they know isn't safe or can easily tell isn't. Then one that pretends to but in reality isn't.

Those of you who have written science research papers, what's the oldest paper you've cited in a paper you published? (I just saw a citation to an 1843 paper.) Pretty sure my oldest reference is only 1920 or so.
(I know, you historians out there are going to have scientists beat, but you're also welcome to share)

What to Do If ICE Comes to Your Workplace
The workplace is one of the most frequent sites for ICE raids. The International Migrants Alliance gave a quick know your rights workshop at the June 6 rally outside the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Washington. Here’s their advice on what you can do to protect yourself and your co-workers:
Right to remain silent. All you have to do is say it out loud—“I have the right to remain silent”—and then refuse to answer any other questions.
Right to refuse entry. Unless ICE has a warrant signed by a judge for that exact address, it’s trespassing. You can even call the cops on them.
Right to refuse to sign anything. Same as the right to remain silent, you don’t have to sign anything without an attorney present.
If you’re a U.S. citizen, you don’t have to prove it. Don’t show them your ID just because they ask for it.
If you’re not a U.S. citizen, don’t carry any false documentation. If you’re caught with it, it will only make your case harder.
If you’re not an immigrant and see ICE on the job, intervene and stick up for your co-workers. You can’t legally impede ICE agents from carrying out their duties, but you can record and photograph them—even if they say otherwise.
