"The โMost Recentโ sort option has been removed from Amazonโs review system across both desktop and mobile for most products."
In fact, you have NO options for #sorting or #filtering anymore. None at all.
You get 8-10 #reviews โ of Amazon's choice โ and that's it. That's all you can see now.
We'd already decided to totally quit #Amazon after our #AmazonPrime runs out in February. This makes our decision that much easier.
Here's my chat with a rep yesterday.

Google Voice alternatives?
I've been using my GV number as my phone number on FB because there's no way I'm giving them my main number, but the problem is that Facebook now sees what I'm shopping for on my other tablet. Yes, aside from the phone number, FB is on a separate device that shares a WiFi connection, so the leak is cause by Google Voice or my network, and I'm leaning towards GV, which is an easy one to plug... I assume?
At this point the only thing that GV offers that's important to me is the ability to use it through a computer as well as my phone, so I'm thinking some type of VOIP that has an app and a web interface? I don't mind paying a small fee for the latter, though I don't need a full on business VOIP solution, which is where you usually find web interfaces.

Google having a track record of selling anything they can from you is correct.
I don't get how this makes them unable to constantly listen to your microphone, and constantly log all you do (and buy).
And then sell this data to anyone (including, ofc, facebook).
Absolutely get rid of google voice, I'm not gonna stop you there, that's a great first step. But don't be surprised if the leak doesn't stop. Your public IP is a much likelier identifier here than a phone number.

I'm convinced Nationalist Christians believeโwithout any actual evidenceโthat immigrants are here to rape, pillage, and steal from them because deep down they know that's exactly what their European colonizer ancestors did to the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas.
They must be a drive in movie theatre because the projection is wild.

It's a nice idea but I'm not an artist, I can't draw and and I don't have the money to commission an artist for an entire guide. (The artwork at the top of my site is a commission, I didn't draw it.)
The "Quick Start" section on the website Fedi.Tips has guides to the essential stuff.

As a reminder, the notion that people should be able to maintain "a clean, well-organized household" came from the 19th century Western "upper classes" where the wife was expected to stay home and do this full time - and this was used as a status symbol and status marker to distinguish the affluent from the working classes, where women almost always had to work in (poorly paid) jobs in order to keep the household budget afloat.
Therefore, this notion is not only #Sexism but also #ClassWarfare . Thus, when someone presents this kind of "lifestyle" as something you should aspire to (whether a tv show, an Influencer, or a glossy magazine), you should really contemplate what kind of political agenda they are trying to sell to you.
Now, if you _enjoy_ keeping a household in a good, clean order, more power to you! Everyone needs their passion projects, after all! But it should not be the _expected_ thing - particularly for people who are already overwhelmed by the demands this late-stage Capitalist hellscape places on us!

Very noteworthy how most of these professions are typically female-gendered in US culture.
Also, it completely misses the point that a profession is an occupation REGULATED BY A STATUTORY BODY with specific privileges and responsibilities defined by law."Professional" has been devalued in recent decades by overuse, but do you really want to be treated by an unregulated doctor?
Whatever idiot drafted this guideline is clearly not a member of a regulated profession.

If you werenโt avoiding visiting the US alreadyโฆ
I am confused by โengineeringโ being listed by itself there. Engineering is not just one field. And the term โengineerโ is already widely abused by unregulated workers, including faux โsoftware engineersโ (it depends where you are).
I suspect this doesnโt include all the usual specific engineers, i.e. civil, mechanical, aerospace, chemical, computer, etc. But if it does, and they simply let anyone cosplay as any kind of technical engineer, the US will disintegrate pretty rapidly, and literally.
As for education, home schooling is already ubiquitous.
Could it be that they want to leave this kind of thing to states? I mean, still a stupid idea, but perhaps this is part of a program to reduce internal migration? If your professional degree is only recognized at the state level, in one state, you canโt work anywhere else.
