"The robot, unable to appreciate the gravity of the situation, didn’t leave, even when the cops deployed a flashbang device during the operation. And why would it care about that? It doesn’t have our pathetic eyes, filled with sensitive jelly. Nothing will stop it from getting that five-star rating." vice.com/en/article/a-doordash…

A house in my town. Apparently the neighbors weren't happy about their Pride yard display, so they decided to show them what they think about bigoted opinions.

Test message, re Fedi Project

@abeorch

Figure I'll try this before DMing you to make sure we have a connection. Plus, I'm not looking for an exclusive project but a typical Fedi project although I'm willing to donate more than 20 to 50$/mo if needed, plus others might want to help.

For anyone interested, the project idea is essentially a fork of Holos.social or a similar project, obviously a fork would prolly be easier, that is focused on a fixed location Android server with multiple accounts, obviously dependent on device capability, with a set up utility.

Not satisfied with a functioning government, the Americans dismantled the laws that protected them under the watchful eyes of the billionaires.

Researchers used electric stoves to treat asthma. It worked.

Led by Dr. Ash Sehgal, a professor at Case Western’s School of Medicine, researchers recruited families from across the Cleveland and Akron areas where at least one person had asthma. Using funds from the Biden-era Inflation Reduction Act, they replaced gas stoves with electric induction stoves in 91 homes.
And then they did something unprecedented: They studied whether people got less sick after they stopped cooking with gas. It was the first time time scientists had replaced gas ranges with electric ranges and examined the health impacts.

For 72 homes where at least one resident suffered from β€œpoorly controlled asthma,” the team measured health outcomes before and after the gas-to-electric switch: How often were participants awoken by asthma at night? How much time did they spend wheezing? How much shortness of breath did they experience? Did they need to visit the emergency room? Did they have to stay home from work or school?

Lo and behold: Across every health metric studied, people got better. Not just better, actually β€” dramatically better.

TL;DR: Get an electric stove
