Was reading an article about Cracker Barrel changing their logo, saw this and couldn't resist sharing.
As to the logo change, I can say I understand the rage, its so generic and boring, say what you want, CB was always rather distinct, but last time I was there, the menu had become rather generic American Style food with a lot less choices, so the new logo is just an extension of that new generic feel.
That EV You Just Bought Probably Has Too Much Range - Autoblog
I've been saying this for a while, the new tech that increases range is nice, but should be used more to reduce battery size than increase the range. My Bolt gets about 225 on a good day, and that's plenty, anything over 300 is overkill, heck anything over 250 is prolly more than enough.

The image is a comic-style illustration divided into three panels, featuring characters from the G.I. Joe franchise. The first panel shows a woman in an orange shirt speaking in a classroom setting, asking why financial education isn't taught in schools. The second panel depicts a break-in with a masked intruder, and a man in a brown uniform, presumably a G.I. Joe character, defending the classroom. The third panel shows the man continuing his statement, suggesting that widespread financial literacy would lead to economic collapse. The comic includes the G.I. Joe logo and the tagline "And knowing is half the battle!" at the bottom.

The image is a black and white political cartoon depicting a critique of the criminalization of poverty and the prison industrial complex. On the left, a large, shadowy figure labeled "POVERTY" looms over a cityscape, with outstretched arms holding small figures, symbolizing the impoverished. On the right, a man in a robe labeled "LAW" leans over a structure labeled "JAIL," with a pile of money beside it, representing the financial interests of the legal system. The man appears to be handing over the small figures to the jail, suggesting the criminalization of poverty. The background features arched windows, indicating a courtroom or legislative setting. The caption at the bottom reads: "The criminalization of poverty goes hand in hand with the prison industrial complex. This is not a mistake, or broken system. This is class war."

The image is a political cartoon featuring two anthropomorphic animals, a donkey and an elephant, representing the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively. The donkey is on the left, wearing a blue suit, and the elephant is on the right, also in a blue suit. They are standing in front of a whiteboard filled with a chaotic, tangled web of red and blue lines, symbolizing a complex redistricting map. The donkey's speech bubble reads, "Tribute to Jackson Pollock?" while the elephant's speech bubble says, "Or, as I like to call it, our new redistricting map!" The cartoon humorously critiques the complexity and potential manipulation of redistricting processes.

Le véhicule est marqué "TO SERVE AND DISTRACT POLICE".

5 weeks
Not much to say this week, five weeks have passed, and still digging this place out.
Focus has switched to comics, and then books, this'll make the largest difference in the place. The original desk focus was good, that helped find all kinds of documents and info that I didn't have, but now its more a matter of volume, and books and comics will clear the most space the fastest. i'm leaning towards bring books to Half Price Books, and then to Thrift Books, though for the latter I'll have to check, I think they normally pay shipping for you to send books to them, but they have a warehouse not far from here that I worked at, so no shipping needed.
On the legal and money sides, last week we finally got his death certificate, and have started the process of claiming his life insurance. The money from that'll pay for a plot and service, and hopefully enough money to buy out his car as there's no way the bank'll let me take over the note, not with my kind of work. For everything else, I'm in contact with a financial manager/planner that my mom uses, figure I need to figure out which way I want to run before I start, no?
Cleaning has been interesting today, was cleaning out a few milk crates from the basement, stuff from his life before I met him, stuff he never really talked about, and I think it would've been interesting to hear. He'd mentioned having had a tongue piercing, but it was gone by the time I met him, but I did find a pic of him showing it off. That was back when he lived in San Francisco, where he was also quite active in the gay pagan community as well as the gay fetish community. I really wish he'd told me more about that time in his life.

The image depicts a panther-like creature with human-like features, sitting on the ground and reading a book. The creature is dressed in a vest over a shirt, with a pendant around its neck, and appears to be in a contemplative pose. Its tail is curled around its body, and it is positioned against a plain, gradient background that transitions from light to dark. The creature's fur is detailed with shading, giving it a realistic texture. The overall tone of the image is monochromatic, with shades of gray enhancing the focus on the subject.
