Man, this should prolly be the default theme

@#SpaceHost Help was nice enough to install the Bookface theme for my instance, and I gotta say its really nice looking:

That's the light theme, and I'm not often a fan of light themes, at least not over dark themes, usually I don't have a preference, but the dark I don't think is quite as good:

Seriously, I think this is much better than the stock theme, and should always be included.

@Kāpitan @#SpaceHost Help And we've stumbled across something funny. Bookface is a custom version of the stock Frio theme, and if you were running a custom theme, your wallpaper persists when you switch over to Bookface. Not sure if'n I'm going to keep it around, or go in and remove it.

Haha, that’s a fun discovery! It makes sense since Bookface is a fork of Frio. It probably inherits some user settings like wallpapers.

Totally up to you whether to keep the look or reset it.

@#SpaceHost Help @Kāpitan I'm not sure its a fork per se, Frio out of the box has light, dark and custom settings, and this simply adds three more to that list.

I'm still deciding on whether to keep the wallpaper or not, but if I do decide to get rid of it, I'll have to go Frio custom, delete the wallpaper, then go Frio bookface light.

Got it! Sounds like Frio treats Bookface as just another preset, which explains the wallpaper carryover. That plan to reset it via Frio Custom makes perfect sense.

A Tumblr theme will be amazing. There are actually a few Tumblr-like platforms on the Fediverse, like Loforo, Wafrn

@#SpaceHost Help @🌴 Seph 💭 👾 Yeah, Friendica seems the easiest route, so long as you can live with losing audio and video files, something it doesn't handle, but you do get RSS feeds and Diaspora access which is almost unique to it.

As to the others, neither feels quite like Tumblr, Wafrn feels the least original, can't put my finger on what it reminds me of, but it almost feels like something we already have but zoomed in. Loforo definitely feels unique, prolly more like Tumblr, though that right sidebar really needs to float.
