The image is a black and white meme with text. It is divided into two sections, each with a heading and a list of bullet points. The first section is titled "Saying 'My Chronic Illness is Flaring':", and the bullet points under this heading are:

  • People ask invasive questions
  • Invites misguided wishes of "get well soon"
  • Sometimes people just tell you to try harder

The second section is titled "Saying 'Today, My Body Chose Violence':", and the bullet points under this heading are:

  • Sounds way cooler
  • Might make people too wary to ask questions
  • Very literal explanation of what's happening

The text is presented in a clear, bold font, making it easy to read against the black background. The meme humorously contrasts the reactions people might have when someone says they have a chronic illness flaring up versus when they say their body chose violence.

The image features a sepia-toned photograph of a man dressed in historical military attire, seated in front of an early model airplane. The man is wearing a tricorn hat, a coat with buttons, and a cravat, reminiscent of the late 18th century. He holds a sword in his right hand. The airplane has a simple, open cockpit design with visible wings and a propeller. The background suggests an outdoor setting, possibly an airfield. The text overlay at the top of the image reads: "A very rare photograph of George Washington as he prepares his fighter plane for the battles of Lexington and Concord in April 1775. The Lexington Airport was under siege by British troops, but George Washington and his fighter pilots were able to regain control of the airport." The source is attributed to "Trump University."

The image is a political cartoon featuring two iconic American symbols: Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty. Uncle Sam, dressed in his traditional blue coat, white shirt, red and white striped pants, and a tall top hat, stands to the left. He is looking at a birthday cake with lit candles and the words "July 4" written on it. He has a speech bubble that reads, "A 249th Birthday! What do we wish for?" The Statue of Liberty, depicted in her green patina, leans over the cake with a speech bubble that says, "A 250th." The background is a simple gradient of blue, emphasizing the characters and the cake. The overall tone of the image is humorous and reflective, highlighting the celebration of the United States' independence day.

The image shows a tweet from a user named Nina Turner, with the handle [@]ninaturner.bsky.social. The tweet is presented in a white background with black text. The tweet reads:

"It's wrong that on-time rent payments don't go on credit scores, yet apartments can deny people a lease based on that very credit score. Credit scores did not exist the way we know them today until 1989. Not only can we do better, we must."

The tweet is structured with a clear message, highlighting the inconsistency in how on-time rent payments are not factored into credit scores, yet they are used to deny people leases. It also mentions the historical context of credit scores, noting that they did not exist in their current form until 1989. The tweet concludes with a call to action, emphasizing the need for improvement.

You Could Be The Only EdisonFuture Driver On The Planet If You Can Figure Out How To Solve Its Riddles

It finally made the news. I was looking at this, and I think my biggest question is does it have a VIN? Lack of a title is a big deal, but generally if'n you have a VIN and a bill of sale, you can get a title for it. Getting it running, maybe easy, maybe hard, depends on how complete it is.

I think it's not just the border. People keep claiming the US government disappears anti-gravity researchers so they can work on crashed alien technology. I pretty much think it's all a smokescreen and they're just silencing anyone who invents tech that threatens the oil/coal industry.

If we'd have hit the ground running in 1880 and actually used our minds to automate the economy, we'd be living in Star Trek right now. You can call that a commie idea, but I think it sounds like heaven.

in reply to JD Roy

@JD Roy Nah, I'm pretty open to the idea, I've little doubt that capitalists have been holding us back in the name of profit and resistance to change, borders are for people, so many other things are to stomp out ideas.

Could use some help and support

I'm kinda having a problem over here, my husband @Vik-Thor / Lirleni Hankeshe just passed away a few hours ago. Unfortunately in our life he was the chaos and I was the order, and he left me no arrangements, estate info, etc.

Yeah, I know, sounds like I'm moving fast, but as I said, I was the order, the solver of problems, the planner, plotter and schemer, as such, the only way I can really handle this is to fix what I can fix, try to make some order here, and keep moving.

I'm working on figuring things out, if'n anyone can point me to some good resources for how to handle this, I could use them. If'n your local and want to help me, I could use some help obviously as I'm dealing with a hoarder who didn't share much information with me unless I thought to ask. Oh, and I have a memory like a sieve, so that only makes the situation worse.

For those wondering if'n I need any financial help or anything like that, I'm fine, I was in charge of that, so I've got enough for I think 3-4 months with zero income, and obviously at some point I'll get back to working.

I have contacted @Bitwarden 's support to see if'n its possible to get access to his vault, as that'll allow me to sort out his private life.

Honda's super low-cost electric motorcycle revealed in new patent

Interesting, basically an electric version of an existing product, I wonder if'n it could be a foreshadowing of their future plans at the lower end of the market, I mean imagine an electric Grom or one of the other bikes in that group, that could get really interesting.

Google confirms it's 'combining' Chrome OS and Android into a single platform

Interesting, I wonder what the final product will look like, and whether anyone will try to copy it or de-Google it. IIRC both ChromeOS and Android are based on modified Linux kernels with different focuses, so it'll be interesting to see how that works together.

ATLANTA (AP) β€” A week after an immigration judge granted him bond, a Spanish-language journalist who was arrested while covering a protest last month remains in federal custody.
Police just outside Atlanta arrested Mario Guevara while he was covering a protest on June 14, and he was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement several days later. He was being held at an immigration detention center in Folkston β€” in southeast Georgia, near the Florida border β€” when an immigration judge last week granted him bond.
But when his family tried to pay the $7,500 bond last week, ICE didn’t accept it and he has since been shuffled between three other jails, his lawyer Giovanni Diaz said.

General reminder:
The domain name putty.org is NOT run by the #PuTTY developers. It is run by somebody not associated with us, who uses the domain to interpose advertising for their unrelated commercial products. We do not endorse those products in any way, and we have never given any kind of agreement for PuTTY's name to be used in promoting them.
Please do not perpetuate the claim that putty.org is the PuTTY website. If anyone is linking to it on that basis, please change the link. The PuTTY website is chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtath… and it always has been.
You can check this by downloading the source code, which cites that URL in many places (the README, the documentation, some strings in the actual code), or by using the "Visit Web Site" menu options in the official Windows binaries (the ones signed with my personal Authenticode certificate). The true PuTTY website is the one that PuTTY itself says it is.
Many search engines list putty.org above chiark. I don't know if this is due to active SEO on the part of the domain owner, or a heuristic in the rankings. Either way, don't believe them. It's not our site.

The portrait depicts a muscular figure with a halo, wearing a tank top with an American flag and a heart with "Tax Cuts" written on it. The figure holds a rifle and stands in front of a backdrop with the words "The Rich Get Richer" and "Tax Cuts" on banners. The background includes a small image of a child and the words "AM RADIO" and "WAL-MART." The image is a political cartoon depicting a scene at "Camp Mystic." In the foreground, a young woman with long brown hair, wearing a purple shirt and blue shorts, is kneeling on the grass with her arms outstretched, asking "WHY?" in a large, bold speech bubble. She appears to be questioning someone off-panel to the right. To her right, a figure resembling a gray elephant, dressed in a pinstriped suit, stands behind a sign that reads "GOV OFFICIALS." The elephant character is holding a rolled-up document and has a speech bubble saying, "NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR SUCH POLITICALLY CHARGED QUESTIONS!" A blue teddy bear lies on the grass nearby, and a mattress is partially visible in the background. The setting suggests a campsite with a stream running through it. The cartoon is signed "Ruhlman's Wisconsin State Journal" and dated "2020."
