The image features a social media post from "Financian" with a headline stating, "Samsung is putting ads on its $1,800 refrigerators." The post discusses Samsung's Family Hub refrigerators in the US displaying ads on idle screens after a software update. The ads can be dismissed but not fully turned off, and disconnecting from the internet disables smart features. The image shows a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator with a large touchscreen display on the door, showcasing various ads. The refrigerator is in a modern kitchen setting with a window in the background. The text "FINANCIAN" is prominently displayed at the bottom of the image, emphasizing the source of the information.

I'm not sure what's worse, Ads on an $1800 appliance, or a fridge you need to plug into the internet.

I'm starting to honestly go harder and harder into the β€œthe β€œSmarter” something is, the more stupid we are for using it" train of thought.

@Xoa Gray I think the thing that burns me about this is that they convince you to buy one of these because of the 'great' extra features it has, only to be told you have to pay extra for the promised features after you buy it.
