I understand the hype and desire to self-host Loops, and while I am working hard to get this shipped and open sourced, it's crucial to consider that people expect TikTok like polish.
I want to get Loops right this time, like super simple installation with out of the box federation.
I have been accused of trying to rugpull or whatever because I have delayed the release of the code, but trust me, it's worth the wait.
Have you seen Vidzy?
I'd rather delay and get it right.

In order to get the people from the biggest social media players, it must be done the right way ⭐️

We don't want to clone every aspect of TikTok, just the ones our community can thrive with.

in reply to Daniel Supernault • • •have you considered creating an 'official ActivityPub Relay' for Loops? That could be the solution for out of the box selfhosted federation, or am I wrong? 🙂
@neodb got a relay, so your Server starts federating from that moment, it's running. It's actually really nice.
