*hugs* I feel you... I think it is just a side effect of having to deal with someone in your home. I often do the same thing, like I feel like I have to make small talk with workers.

@belghast I feel so embarrassed any time anyone is here even though my house is fine, but like.. "what if it's clogged because of abc123 reason that they're GOING to judge me on" etc etc etc. and I always feel like I'm *supposed* to make small talk, I sent that message out as a reminder to myself to just ... step back, and stop talking ><

the thing that kills me is that I feel like I cant really DO anything while they are here... so I just loom ghoulishly because I am twiddling my thumbs

I've been there, it's always weird knowing what to say.

You don't really want to just leave a stranger alone in your house but it feels weird just silently watching them work.

2h later this is finally done, the sinks all work again and I can now spend the rest of the day recuperating from having loud strangers in my house ><
