My monthly prescription in the USA is about $380. From China for the same price, that's about a thousand years worth. I have a few lives worth left....

@dianea My son’s (17y) expenses for insulin in Denmark are equivalent of around 20 usd per month. When he becomes adult next year, the cost will be around 50 usd. The system in USA sounds insane 😳

The obvious flaw in this post is that this has nothing to do with a free market. The Open Insulin Project stands ready and eager to provide safe, effective, cheap insulin. What stops them? Not #capitalism. Not the #freemarket. It's the #FDA. It's the government controlling markets, which is not what #capitalists want; it's the doctrine of #socialism.
