Genocide is the intentional attempt to destroy a group because of its identity.

Author Gary Leech, in Capitalism: A Structural Genocide (2012), argues that genocide is an inherent feature of the capitalist system rather than an accidental byproduct of it.

Capitalism creates conditions of inequality that can foster atrocities. Sociologist Sabby Sagall, in Final Solutions: Human Nature, Capitalism and Genocide, discusses how capitalism may affect human nature in ways that encourage a willingness to participate in or tolerate the suffering of others.

The love of money has enslaved people, fueled wars, and allowed children to starve and die. The list goes on. How is it that capitalism and democracy can coexist?
