Trey Reed was found hanging from a tree.
Let me repeat that. He was Found Hanging From A Tree.
In Mississippi. In the state that lynched more Black people than ANY OTHER STATE IN THE COUNTRY. And police have the audacity to summarily conclude "no foul play."
It's just as horrific that we don't have a competent DOJ to independently investigate this. My God. Horrific. Just horrific.

Blacks, homeless, people without papers and other minorities are the scapegoat of fascist USA. And meanwhile the super rich get richer and are enjoying themselves very much. blackzonemagazine.com/not-one-…

- "No foul play"? Ah, one of those 'accidental hangings' that have been shown to occur with some traditional regularity in the Southern US.
Doubtless the victim was trying to self-asphyxiate as a part of some sexual gratification technique. Crazy University kids!

Either that, or there's some of Trump's MAGA / former January 6th crowd in the neighbourhood.

The only thing that could make that more farcical is if they arrested the tree.

i'm guessing they decided that since protests would mean trump goes ballistic, it means people can start lynching again

sadly i only have the brainpower at the moment to think of the obvious (search for the police chiefs and investigators involved, and make it their problem)

but if people were going to protest anyways, this sounds like a very good reason to

I thought that was always the lynching verdict, if I remember correctly, on one was ever prosecuted for murder by lynching....

@Qasim Rashid, Esq. I do believe this isn't the first time in the last decade we've seen this, I just can't remember if'n its only been during Trump administrations, or if'n this is a running problem with the police and DOJ.
