I think my 76 Scout II was my favorite, what would you like, the ignition that started better with a screwdriver than the key? Or maybe the fact that it rusted in half. Really, the floor rotted out, and since the screws at the top of the windshield (the top was removable) were missing you wound up with the front and back of the body moving in different directions over bumps, and eventually I had to use chains to keep the doors shut.
Not personal cars, but we had fun with a friends VW Beetle. The doors wouldn't lock and you could use a popsicle stick in the ignition. He would come over for a get together and someone would sneak out and move his car. Another had an ignition that only he could use, special wrist twitch. And it blew hot air all the time. The corker was him pulling up to get us to go into DC for a concert, with the throttle cable coming out of the hood and in the drivers window. He had the cable in a pair of vice grips that he pulled on to make the car go. The passenger was tasked with shifting at the appropriate time. We got to the show okay. On the way home the bit of throttle cable he was pulling on snapped off while we were on a bridge. We dropped to idle and kept moving slowly, this was at around midnight so traffic was light. Lots of quick cable mangling to expose some more bit to clamp on and we made it the rest of the way home. He did get it fixed soon afterward. It was a really good concert, too.
