The image is a cartoon depicting a scene in front of the United States Capitol building. In the foreground, there are three people: a man in a suit, a woman in a blue skirt and purple top, and a man with a camera. The woman appears to be interviewing the man in the suit. The man with the camera is capturing the scene. Behind them, a large, monstrous figure with blonde hair and a body resembling a large, orange, segmented creature is depicted. This figure is emitting a stream of fire from its mouth towards the Capitol building. The sky is partly cloudy, and the Capitol building is detailed with its dome and columns. A speech bubble from the woman reads, "Senator, can you comment on recent revelations that Joe Biden was, in fact, sleepy at times?" The caption at the bottom of the image reads, "THE NEWS CYCLE."

The image presents two maps of the United States, each illustrating the voting patterns of white Americans by education level in the 2024 election. The title reads "HOW WHITE AMERICANS VOTED BY EDUCATION IN 2024," with a note that the data is based on the Cook Political Report Swingometer.
The top map, labeled "WHITE PEOPLE WITH COLLEGE DEGREE," shows a blue map for Harris with 294 electoral votes and a red map for Trump with 244 electoral votes. The states are color-coded, with blue representing Harris and red representing Trump.
The bottom map, labeled "WHITE PEOPLE WITHOUT COLLEGE DEGREE," shows a red map for Trump with 521 electoral votes and a blue map for Harris with 17 electoral votes. The states are similarly color-coded, with blue representing Harris and red representing Trump.
The maps are accompanied by portraits of Harris and Trump, with their names and electoral vote counts displayed next to each map. The overall layout is clean and organized, with clear distinctions between the two groups of voters.

Well rubber bullets are obviously only non-lethal if used correctly.
Now that I mentioned that, this sentence is valid more or less true for any ammunition.
The image depicts a vibrant garden scene with a variety of colorful flowers, including pink coneflowers and purple blooms, along a stone pathway. A wooden birdhouse with a colorful rooster weather vane is visible on the left, and a house with a gray exterior and a brown roof is seen in the background. The garden is lush and well-maintained, with a mix of plants and flowers creating a diverse and inviting atmosphere. Overlaid on the image is a text box with a critical statement about the American lawn, questioning the practice of maintaining non-native monocultures and the use of poisons. The text is in white with a black outline, making it stand out against the colorful background.

Language questions...
Thinking of renaming one of my furry OCs cruft, because that's a silly name for a character, much like Woggle, which is another OC of mine. Problem as I see it is the spelling, I could go with Kruft or Qruft, or maybe change the spelling? I'm thinking go with a replacement for the U, pull something from another language that's phonetically the same, but I have no idea how to find one, anyone out there have any ideas?
The other one is an OC of mine who's described as being an umamusuko, but I'm not sure that's the right word. That OC is a male human with equine features, a kemonomimi , and that page has a list of gender neutral and female forms for various types, so I tried to figure out what the male form would be, but have no idea if that's right, I'm fairly certain it's a male form, but I'm not sure if it's a match to the female form shown on that page.
Thanks.

Long live Xorg, I mean Xlibre!
I've played with Wayland on an admittedly less than ideal platform, and was not impressed. Promise? Its got that in spades, but it still falls short, I agree with the author that the only thing that matters is that it works. I think the Xlibre project is definitely a good idea, basically X without all the cruft. I do wonder how this is going to impact Linux Mint, since apparently Canonical is going all in on WayLand.

The image shows a screenshot of a social media post by a user named "crookedbluebirdkingdom." The post is presented in a black background with white text. The post is divided into two sections, each with a timestamp of "2d" (2 days ago).
The first section of the post discusses the disappearance of books from Libby, a digital library service. The user mentions that books that were previously accessible in multiple libraries have started disappearing. The user attributes this to Amazon gaining exclusive rights to these books, making them available only through Amazon. The post also highlights Audible's exclusive audiobooks and the sudden disappearance of entire series and collections.
The second section of the post references an article from The Verge, stating that this issue has been ongoing since at least 2021. The user speculates that Amazon has intensified its actions in response to boycotts, particularly targeting books available only digitally. The post concludes by urging support for local libraries, authors, and used bookstores.
The user's profile picture is a cartoonish image of a man with a mustache and sunglasses. The post includes a "Follow" button and three dots, indicating options for more actions.

Need to fix my timeline here
#friendica #Friendica Support @Fedi.Tips
Is there a way to set up a timeline that shows everything except one contact I'm following?
I use altbot to generate alt text for my images, but that requires me to follow it so it can reply to my posts with the alt text, problem is that means my timeline is now flooded with every post it replies to, so I need a way to filter that out so I only see altbot replies to my own posts.
Thanks
You might want to ask on the Friendica support forum?
