The US has lots of odd symbolism.

On some US coins is the "freedom" bell with the words "Let freedom ring". That bell was built to be the biggest bell in the world. However after it was removed from its cast, it cracked from the weight and has never made a sound. "Freedom" has never rung in the US.

The US has had its children give a pledge of allegiance to the flag, BUT that flag a version of the British East India Company's flag. We dumped their tea into the Boston and New York harbors. And yet we are pledging to corporate symbolism. Malaysia is in the same situation. It was ruled by the British East India Company. Take a look at their flag. It also has thirteen red and white stripes, and they have nothing to do with thirteen original colonies.

Bessent needs to buy a brain!

Just so I'm clear, South American migrants brought their cattle with them as they climbed over and under the border the wall, took all of our jobs, stole our health care, used our snap benefits, and bought every available home.

Yesterday..

Ok, yesterday was fun. Well, sorta, I mean I don't really like doing D zone, north St Louis County, there's some real sketchy neighborhoods up there.

That said, one notable thing was an apartment complex I hit, nothing special about the design in and of itself, but this is only the second one I've found in the St Louis metro, which is kinda impressive considering the size of the area, and the amount of places I've delivered to, and these aren't even close to each other. Weird.

The second thing was fun, I delivered to a very Christian house, y'all know the type, right? Well apparently there's a bit of a feud between them resulting in the neighbor putting up a Fuck Trump flag on his garage. Seeing that, there was only one thing I could do, visit... And give him almost all of the stickers I had in my car and wallet that I got from Plastic Jesus, as well as hanging out for a bit and telling him about the Fediverse. I'll be going back soon, and dropping off links to this blog and more stickers.

While yesterday wasn't a great day, that definitely made it better.

When 44% of workers are paid less than a living wage, they're forced to rely on social safety nets to survive.

That's not a taxpayer "handout" to workers.

That's a taxpayer handout to corporations."- unknown

Right on the tail of the 'Swiftbricks', we have 'Beebricks'

#BeeBricks become planning requirement for new buildings in Brighton
Amy Frearson | 24 January 2022
"A planning law introduced in the city of Brighton and Hove, England, calls for new buildings to include special bricks that provide nests for solitary bees.
"Brighton & Hove Council's policy stipulates that all new buildings above five metres should include bee bricks, as well as #BirdNesting boxes suitable for swifts.
"These bee bricks are the same size as regular bricks, but integrate a series of narrow openings like those where solitary bees are known to nest.
"The aim is to increase opportunities for #biodiversity. With solitary bees making up nearly 250 of the approximately 270 bee species in #Britain, they play an important role in the natural #ecosystem.
" 'Bee bricks are just one of quite a number of measures that really should be in place to address biodiversity concerns that have arisen through years of neglect of the natural environment,' said Robert Nemeth, the councillor behind the initiative.
" 'Increased planting, hedgehog holes, swift boxes and bird feeders are all examples of other cheap and simple ideas that, together, could lead to easy medium-term gains,' he told Dezeen."

@7heo Unfortunately the people didn't take it seriously, so here we are. Me, in between laughing, I do this and that, what I can while balancing too many injuries over the year and the loss of my husband this summer less than a month after my birthday. Yesterday was fun, got to chatting with someone about how we got here and gave them some anti-Trump and anti-stupid people stickers to spread around.

Yeah, I can appreciate the collective stupidity that got you there, and I'm afraid we're gonna have to deal with the same over here... Sooner than later...

But dammit, it wouldn't have been that hard to avoid... 😣
