Got stuck coming out of the airport, and then was the fun getting to the deliveries, not only are the roads hit or miss, MODOT is struggling to clear the highways, some highways are barely usable like the 141, others are a mixture like I270S in west county.
I cancelled tomorrow's work shift, and I'm not considering going out again until Wed.

Thought I'd post this, as every now and then I'll boost a help wanted, job wanted, introduction post or something similar and get a follow from the poster, and figured I'd explain why.
Don't get me wrong, I love getting more followers, gotta catch them all, no? Ok, in all seriousness, figured in case some of these critters or some of my followers are wondering why, it's actually simple, it's because the #Fediverse is big. Yes, I know, we all know that, but you might not realize that that means not every server (instance) can see every other server, it's just too big. So, I boost these these posts to help their reach, as my instance might know other instances that the original poster's instance doesn't.

Seriously, I think Tumblr is my favorite social media, though that shouldn't be a surprise with how many Tumblr postings I share here, right? Not really sure why, though I will say I've been there over 13 years, and have cultivated a wonderful and diverse collection of accounts to follow. Tumblr is weird and impossible to monetize, and I love weird.
I don't get why we don't have an equivalent here, when people keep coming up with forks of Mastodon/Misskey/etc or creating new similar services, it's not like they'd have to build it from scratch. Seriously, #friendica has everything you need an more except for the look, the current interface ain't real great, and it sure don't look like Tumblr, so prolly a fork would be good. Sure, you could change the look through a theme, it does support that, but I think forking it and hacking off unnecessary parts would help, or at least re-writing some of the ugly parts, the settings for example are wonderful for the options they have, but a nightmare to find anything in. Image upload procedure is clunky, though you can drag and drop images into your posts, and more complicated than it needs to be.
Seriously, it can display images as well as Tumblr can, text posts better, communicates with the entirety of the Fediverse (handles AP & Diaspora), adds an RSS feed reader and the ability to treat them like any other contact here, has quote boosting (including those RSS feeds), is there anything better? Ok, it doesn't allow uploading of movie files, or at least I haven't figured out how yet. Oh, and BB Code allows you to do inline images and other neat stuff, it supports the vast majority of BB Code, so you can do a lot of neat things in posts.
You may want to tag #diaspora on stuff like that, but it does not work in the comments, has to be in the original post. Maybe repost it, they often like suggestions.
@HU Art Sound (2) Diaspora would make a half way decent replacement except for the fact that it only shares with Diaspora. Hands down the interface there is better though.
Tumblr was once great, even with some terrible tech issues, then came Yahoo (Verizon) and screwed it up only to sell it - but they still censor stuff that does not need to be, and I hate that they want you to sign in to read more than 4 or 5 public posts with some posters.
@HU Art Sound (2) Yeah, the censorship sucks, Automaticc hasn't changed anything from the previous two owners. That said, there's just something about the design and the people I've found that makes it fun, so far it's the only non-monetizable social media, three companies have tried, three have failed.
