The image is a screenshot of a social media post, likely Twitter, with a dark blue background. At the top left is a circular profile picture of a person with dark hair, wearing a dark jacket. Below that is text arranged in three separate sections, each attributed to a different entity.

The first section, attributed to "Them", reads: "People are so lazy, there's jobs available everywhere." The second section, attributed to "Advertisement", reads: "How would you like to work for us? The job is six days a week and you'll still be poor." The final section, attributed to "The working class", simply states: "No". The post is attributed to a user named "Comrade Hammer" with the handle "[@]JoshWiniecke".

German Federal Office of Civil Protection publishes guide removing war as an 'unlikely' possibility

The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance warned in its latest report that #war no longer seems as unlikely as it did a few years ago, as it recommends maintaining food supplies of three to ten days.

For the first time in 35 years, the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) is warning of war. The agency emphasises that #Germany is one of the safest countries, but a new guide has been published to provide advice in case of crisis.

Costco quietly made a major benefit change - TheStreet

I think the most interesting thing in the article is the cash back offer on fuel, considering that EV charging is in there, something I haven't seen before, and I wonder if'n that means anything like Costco adding charging to its warehouses.

Our local Costco is adding banks of chargers. But also is expanding its gas station...

@4d3fect Much as the last one kinda sucks, its being realistic if'n my local Sams Club is to go by considering the lines and the chaos. The chargers though are news to me.

A screenshot of a social media post is presented. The post features a circular profile picture of a person with dark hair and a red background. Below the profile picture, the username "[@]IsicaLynn" is displayed, accompanied by a red checkmark icon. The post consists of two paragraphs of text.

The first paragraph reads: "I find that a lot of anti-socialist sentiment boils down to a basic belief that people are lazy and won’t do good in the world or work hard unless they are suffering." The second paragraph reads: β€œI believe the opposite. I think most people would do amazing things if they weren’t in dire straits constantly.”

A group of people are standing on a grassy lawn, holding signs in a protest setting. Three people in the foreground are dressed as characters from β€œThe Wizard of Oz”: one is wearing a plaid shirt and a straw hat, one is fully covered in a brown bear costume, and one is wearing a silver metallic costume representing the Tin Man. Behind them, other people can be seen holding additional signs. The signs in the foreground read: β€œTRUMP Has No Brain”, β€œGOICE Has No Courage”, and a red heart-shaped sign. The scene appears to be outdoors on a sunny day, with foliage visible in the background.

The image depicts text on a dark background. The text is presented as dialogue, seemingly between two people.

The first line of dialogue reads: β€œWhere did you find the whipped cream?”

The second line of dialogue is attributed to a person named Jack and reads: β€œYou had milk, I had science.”

Following this, a longer sentence is presented: β€œIt’s amazing how much culinary achievement can be summarized by that sentence.”

The final sentence reads: β€œCheese making, for example. The perfect intersection of milk, science, and foolish disregard for the laws of nature.” The text is written in a simple, sans-serif font and is the primary focus of the image.

Here's an alt-text description of the image:

This is a political cartoon divided into two sections labeled "Peaceful Protesters" on the left and "Violent Insurrectionists" on the right, with a banner at the top reading "A Field to Civil Unrest" and a smaller label stating "2nd Edition." The left section depicts four individuals. The first is wearing a camouflage hat and holding a sign reading "HANG PENCE," while the second is wearing a horned fur hat and carrying a spear. The third is wearing a red bandanna and carrying a rifle and the fourth is wearing a camouflage jacket. The right section depicts three individuals. The first is wearing a suit and holding a sign reading "IMMIGRANTS are HUMANS," the second is wearing a pink shirt and holding a sign reading "END ICE" and the third is a young person wearing a red shirt. There is a dome-shaped building, resembling the US Capitol, in the background behind the "Peaceful Protesters" section, with smoke visible.

B.C. Comic Strip -

After Johnny passed, his grandson took over the art, and his... granddaughter and a step-daughter took over writing I think. Any how, while the strip is mostly the same thing he did, every now and then they'll pop out one that is a joke he would've done, but somehow never did.

A comic strip titled "B.C." by Mastronni and Hart is presented, dated Sunday October 19, 2025. The strip consists of six panels arranged horizontally. The panels depict a caveperson with long hair and a rudimentary outfit interacting with another caveperson in a wooded area. The first panel shows the caveperson exiting a cave. The subsequent panels show a conversation between the two cavepeople. The strip concludes with a meta-commentary from one of the characters.

Here’s a panel-by-panel breakdown:
Panel 1: The caveperson is walking out of a cave.
Panel 2: The caveperson says, β€œMORNING.”
Panel 3: The other caveperson says, β€œWANNA STROLL?”
Panel 4: The first caveperson replies, β€œSUCH A LOVELY DAY FOR A WALK.”
Panel 5: The second caveperson states, β€œDUDE…IT’S SUNDAY.”
Panel 6: The first caveperson says, β€œI THOUGHT THAT WAS TOO MANY PANELS…”

The strip is captioned "This entry was posted October 19, 2025," and includes social media icons and a link to "Order a Signed Print!" at the bottom. A small image of a hand is visible in the bottom right corner. The artist's signature β€œJohn Hart Studios” appears on both sides of the strip.

A screenshot of a Twitter post by the account "[@]middleageiot" is shown. The post is a text-based statement against a dark gray background.

The text reads: "Republicans gerrymander districts, selectively close polling places, purge voter rolls, enact voter ID laws, shorten polling hours, and weaken voting rights legislation, but, when they lose anyway, say the system is rigged against them."

The Twitter handle "[@]middleageiot" is displayed above the statement, and the time "5:31 PM Β· 10/15/22" and "Twitter for iPhone" are shown at the bottom. A profile picture is displayed next to the handle, showing a figure with a long mustache.

Here's an alt-text description of the image:

A close-up shot shows a person holding a white rectangular sign. The sign has bold, black handwritten text that reads: β€œWhat’s AMERICAN HERITAGE?” Below this question is a list of options with empty checkboxes next to each. The list includes β€œNATIVE AMERICANS,” β€œSLAVES,” β€œREFUGEES,” and β€œIMMIGRANTS,” followed by the phrase β€œend of list, check all that apply.” The person holding the sign appears to be older with gray hair and is wearing glasses. Several other people are partially visible in the blurred background, suggesting a crowded outdoor setting, possibly a protest or demonstration.

Life goes on though, yesterday I started inventorying the books using CLZ software, same company who's software took care of the comics (comics for sale BTW).
#today ?
Egg shell grinding, bill paying, need to change the tires on my Bolt (for sale), laundry, and… I feel like I'm forgetting something, I'm sure it'll hit me though, hopefully no more bruising. If nothing else, I'll prolly do some more books, but I'll have to dig my way to the remainder of the lower floor cases.

Gotta love the weather, two days ago I still had the AC on, last night when I woke up to use the bathroom, I grabbed a blanket and closed the windows.

A color photo shows a group of people gathered outdoors on grass, likely at a protest or demonstration. The focal point is a person in the foreground holding a large, rectangular sign. The sign is predominantly white with red text that reads, "GNOMES AGAINST NOEM!". The person is wearing a green and blue patterned jacket, a long white beard, a pointed red hat, and brown boots. Behind this person, there are several other people, some also dressed in costume, and a few colorful flags or banners are visible in the background.
