Anyone looking for a Fediverse project idea?
Here's an easy one... No, really.
Gallery site, think like DeviantArt, FurAffinity, ArtUntamed, etc. You don't even have to code from scratch, just design a new UI for Pixelfed to display artwork that same way. It might need a tweak or two, those gallery sites will after all happily show you artwork that's been posted on their landing page, mature content only visible if'n you're logged in.
Despite the similarities of the interfaces, each site is a custom piece of work, so imagine not needing a custom site and the challenges that brings. For viewers, imagine not needing an account at every art gallery site so you can see your favorite artist's content, nor would the artist's need an account at multiple sites, you can follow from whatever current account you have.
Is there any negative? Sure, I don't think a PixelFed based gallery site would support stories, videos or music well, but the Fediverse has projects for those too.
