My TV is another example. Its function is to display 4K resolution images. Not swap binary spit with servers in Korea or wherever. So it gets no internet connection. It gets its content to render in 4K resolution from an Apple TV box via an HDMI cable.
If it had not been possible to set up and start using without Internet, it would have gone back to Best Buy.
My washer and dryer exist to was clothes and dry them. Same deal. No internet connection, ever. If they therefore decline to do their functions? Right on back to the appliance store.

Simple: do not put the device online
Its function is to shove air down my trachea, not send data anywhere. It shoves air JUST FINE without a data connection.
