@drbens I think I might dispute that on biological grounds. We have a few purposes: 1) to stay alive, 2) to give birth to the next generation, 3) to ensure the next generation has all the tools and/or skills it needs to survive and bring up the following generation, and 4) some animals also have a purpose of nurturing the environment that supports them.

Yes, we are biology....driven by evolution...
