That makes perfect sense to me. Carl Sagan, in Broca's Brain, wrote about how the Limbic system is our primitive, instinctual brain, while the higher parts of the brain give us the things mentioned in the article: self-reflection, language, poetry, music, and the other hallmarks of intelligence and civilization. This finding puts a physical connection to Sagan's observation (which was, of course, based on research by others that he was summarizing).
