The image depicts a surreal scene of numerous people seemingly floating in the sky. The background shows a bright blue sky with scattered clouds, and the sun is visible, creating a radiant effect. The individuals appear to be in various poses, with some arms outstretched and others with arms down, giving the impression of weightlessness. The people are dressed in casual clothing, including dresses, shirts, and pants, and are of different genders and ethnicities. The overall effect is whimsical and dreamlike, as if the individuals are defying gravity. The image is accompanied by text that humorously suggests the floating figures are blowup dolls filled with helium, playing on the concept of the Rapture.

@ferricoxide You're lucky, for the STL metro and southern IL, I have ChargePoint, Circle K, Electrify America, EV Connect, EVgo, Francis Energy and Red E apps.
in reply to 🌴 Seph πŸ’ πŸ‘Ύ

Yeah, we've got a bunch of random ones around here, too (Shell seems to be popular at places that have grocery stores), but most of the smaller ones seem to have cross-billing agreements. So, while I have a Chargepoint (I've also got a Flex scheduled for install, next month), EVgo, Shell, Blink, EV Connect and Electrify America on my phone, that's mostly for "in case I go on a road trip (I'd used PlugShare to show me what were along my most-frequent road-trip routes). What's within a 5mi radius of my house is mostly EVgo and Shell with several Blink stations that seem to be in the private parking garages of large condo complexes.

Living in Norther Virginia, there's a decent amount of EV and PHEV ownership meaning there's also a decent amount of supporting infrastructure. There's also a good amount of charging infrastructure all the way north on I-95 and even along I-270 and US-11 …until you reach the PA/MD line (then it gets real thin with scattered clusters near Gettysburg, Carlisle, Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg).

The image is a four-panel comic strip by Sophie Labelle. In the first panel, two characters are standing outdoors, with one character expressing confusion about watching Charlie Kirk's rally, fundraiser, and funeral. The second panel shows the same character elaborating on the contradiction in Kirk's statements about being open to dialogue and debates while being dogmatic and uncompromising. The third panel features the other character, who explains that such individuals are not interested in exchange or growth, and they claim to meet in the middle but move further away from it. The final panel shows both characters agreeing on a common ground: "Release the Epstein files." The background is a simple outdoor setting with a sky and trees, and the characters are drawn in a cartoonish style.

Anker recalls 500K iPhone power banks, discontinues fire-risk devices after investigation | Macworld

I think at this point I'd never buy a power bank from Anker, how many have they recalled this year? Might avoid anything rechargeable from them at this point.

As a sign of the times we live in, found this:

My grief counselor died last week.

He was so good at his job, I don’t even care.

When you tear out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you're only telling the world that you fear what he might say.

Not a good deal

I've got one of these, got it from Ollie's for $5, and seen it on another deal site for... $8.99 I think. I do have to wonder, how sizeable a failure was this product, since there seems to be a ton to unload.

"Portrait of a bush-league FΓΌhrer named Peter Vollmer, a sparse little man who feeds off his self-delusions and finds himself perpetually hungry for want of greatness in his diet. And like some goose-stepping predecessors he searches for something to explain his hunger, and to rationalize why a world passes him by without saluting. That something he looks for and finds is in a sewer. In his own twisted and distorted lexicon he calls it faith, strength, truth. But in just a moment Peter Vollmer will ply his trade on another kind of corner, a strange intersection in a shadowland called the Twilight Zone."

Rod Serling could turn a goddamn phrase.

The image is a four-panel cartoon by Sophie Labelle, depicting the life and legacy of Horst Wessel, a young Nazi storm trooper. The first panel shows Wessel as a public speaker, recognized by the Nazi party, with a group of soldiers marching behind him. The second panel illustrates Wessel's death during a fight with communists hired by his landlord. The third panel depicts Goebbels, the Nazi chief propagandist, using Wessel's funeral as a major propaganda event. The final panel shows a modern-day scene with a State Farm building and a movie poster for "Charlie Kirk," suggesting that Wessel is still remembered today.

Coca-Cola expands electric delivery fleet with thousands of e-rickshaws | Electrek

I'd love to have one, but I doubt they'd meet my needs now, and with me considering a move to Alton in the future, adding around 25 miles to my commute? Yeah, even less so.

Let me get this straight: Congress wants to prosecute 14 yr. olds as adults, but they don’t want to prosecute adults who sexually abuse 14 year olds? Release the Epstein files." At the bottom, there is a profile picture of a man with the name "Thomas Massie" and the handle "[@]RepThomasMassie" next to it.
