Language questions...
Thinking of renaming one of my furry OCs cruft, because that's a silly name for a character, much like Woggle, which is another OC of mine. Problem as I see it is the spelling, I could go with Kruft or Qruft, or maybe change the spelling? I'm thinking go with a replacement for the U, pull something from another language that's phonetically the same, but I have no idea how to find one, anyone out there have any ideas?
The other one is an OC of mine who's described as being an umamusuko, but I'm not sure that's the right word. That OC is a male human with equine features, a kemonomimi , and that page has a list of gender neutral and female forms for various types, so I tried to figure out what the male form would be, but have no idea if that's right, I'm fairly certain it's a male form, but I'm not sure if it's a match to the female form shown on that page.
Thanks.

Long live Xorg, I mean Xlibre!
I've played with Wayland on an admittedly less than ideal platform, and was not impressed. Promise? Its got that in spades, but it still falls short, I agree with the author that the only thing that matters is that it works. I think the Xlibre project is definitely a good idea, basically X without all the cruft. I do wonder how this is going to impact Linux Mint, since apparently Canonical is going all in on WayLand.

The image shows a screenshot of a social media post by a user named "crookedbluebirdkingdom." The post is presented in a black background with white text. The post is divided into two sections, each with a timestamp of "2d" (2 days ago).
The first section of the post discusses the disappearance of books from Libby, a digital library service. The user mentions that books that were previously accessible in multiple libraries have started disappearing. The user attributes this to Amazon gaining exclusive rights to these books, making them available only through Amazon. The post also highlights Audible's exclusive audiobooks and the sudden disappearance of entire series and collections.
The second section of the post references an article from The Verge, stating that this issue has been ongoing since at least 2021. The user speculates that Amazon has intensified its actions in response to boycotts, particularly targeting books available only digitally. The post concludes by urging support for local libraries, authors, and used bookstores.
The user's profile picture is a cartoonish image of a man with a mustache and sunglasses. The post includes a "Follow" button and three dots, indicating options for more actions.

I use altbot to generate alt text for my images, but that requires me to follow it so it can reply to my posts with the alt text, problem is that means my timeline is now flooded with every post it replies to, so I need a way to filter that out so I only see altbot replies to my own posts.

The image is a four-panel comic strip featuring two snails, one with a red shell and the other with a green shell, engaging in a text conversation. The background is a plain gray color, and each panel has a white speech bubble with text.
In the first panel, the red-snelled snail asks, "ARE YOU AT THE STORE?" The green-snelled snail responds, "YEAH."
In the second panel, the red-snelled snail requests, "CAN YOU GET SOME BUTTER?" The green-snelled snail replies, "SURE."
In the third panel, the red-snelled snail adds, "AND AN EGG." The green-snelled snail confirms, "YEP."
In the fourth panel, the red-snelled snail asks, "AND 36 CHOCOLATE CHIPS. ANYTHING ELSE?" The green-snelled snail humorously responds, "AND SOME AADLLDKALAKDJJS." The red-snelled snail then clarifies, "SORRY. AUTOCORRECT."

The image is a three-panel infographic titled "HOW RUBBER BULLETS ARE MEANT TO BE USED" and "HOW POLICE ARE USING THEM." The top panel shows a stick figure aiming a rubber bullet gun at another stick figure from 36 to 72 yards away, with a red line indicating the intended trajectory. The text explains that rubber bullets are meant to be fired at the ground at an angle to reduce velocity and risk of grievous bodily harm or death.
The middle panel depicts a stick figure aiming a rubber bullet gun at another stick figure from less than 30 yards away, with a red line showing the actual trajectory. The text states that police have repeatedly been recorded firing at protesters' and journalists' faces from distances of less than 30 yards.
The bottom panel features a detailed illustration of a human skull with a rubber bullet entering the eye socket, causing fragments to break into the brain, leading to cranial bleeding. The text explains that rubber bullets have enough force to fracture the skull, sending bone fragments into the brain, and that bullets striking the orbital socket can completely destroy the eye and penetrate the brain, causing death. It also mentions that since their adoption by police forces around the US and the world, rubber bullets have killed 3% of those they injure and hundreds have been permanently blinded.

Now that I mentioned that, this sentence is valid more or less true for any ammunition.
