Despite many technological advances, there are still no pop-up toasters that can make s'mores.

I have a resolutely unconnected house. Apart from laptops and phones, the only thing that is connected to the WiFi is the TV, so as to be able to use YouTube and the Freeview catch-up apps. Anything that can spy is disabled. Google has never been set up to accept voice commands, and there is no camera.

One reason I refuse to entertain a smart meter on my energy supply is that I don't want it sending details of my usage wherever it will, uncontrolled.

Yeah, they are using the 'smart' water meters to issue fines for watering lawns here now....

I really dislike everything coming with an app or a subscription. I’m trying to disconnect as much as possible. Smart @Simon J Ashcroft

Yikes @Kenny Chaffin
