They will NOT go in there and suck out the #Oil. It is by far not so #easy, as #Trump thinks. And when he strikes again, #Venezuela will become unruleable and lost are the Dreams of the #World's biggest Oil-#Reserve. He behaves like a #Warlord , that's why he calls #Zealot #Hegseth a #War-#Minister. What a #crooked #Gang of #Thiefs.

no one should be surprised. Trump et. al. are entirely about business (i.e. greed) and Not at all about government (i.e. public service)

The fact that he's allowing a member of the Maduro government to be president instead of the woman Venezuelans Voted For says it all. Zero pretense of democracy.

Paul Singer and Elliott Management paid a lot of money to win the Citgo lawsuit and ownership of Venezuela.

Koch Network bought a corrupt Supreme Court Justice John Roberts to get Citizens United.

It allows billionaires to "vote" twice & buy elections, and now nations.

7. Paul E. Singer $66,800,800

9. Elliott Management $68,846,510

Who else on this list will be awarded a formerly sovereign nation?

Iโ€™m not sure why this person is surprised. Most military endeavours by USA forces is to the behest of business interest. Most CIA ones as well. It isnโ€™t really just America it is a standard across most countries. Countries that have invaded for business interest: ie Germany, Russia, Britain, France, Spain, USA. Name any country and I will give you a history lesson on when they did itโ€ฆeven Mongolia.

Except they don't want to go in. Venezuelan Oil infrastructure is an underfunded, badly maintained rusty mess. Its refineries are operating at ~10% capacity, and drilling rigs have been stripped for parts. It's a big commercial risk just on the say-so of an incumbent President - their assets might get seized by Venezuela again in the future. They might if the US government guarantees their investmentโ€”effectively putting the American taxpayer on the hook if things go wrong again.

I'm beginning to think that 4 years between Presidential elections is a bit too long. Let's do yearly Reps, and every 2 years for Senators.

And the Supreme Court, yeah... six years MAX.
