I am accustomed to wearing clothes until they get recycled as rags, but I definitely draw the line at multi-use tissue paper for any purpose.

This is true wisdom. I have more clothes now than I ever had. It's fun to swap at a charity shop :-)

I have bought a couple reconditioned camera lenses this spring.

It's amazing what can be found! Magic does happen in those shops :-D

I used to love thrifting, but 1. I have plenty of stuff 2. They almost never have clothes in my size. When the prices go up I just won’t be shopping.

It is amazing what you find in thrift stores. I’m not looking for new clothes myself but sometimes you find things you really need. I look at my closet and say β€œWear all the stuff you have.”

Definitely don’t reuse paper products @Brian Fitzgerald, but I do use cloths and wash those.

One thing my friends and family are doing is making a Gift List on Amazon so people know what you would really like for your birthday, etc. They don’t necessarily buy them on Amazon, especially if they find them elsewhere cheaper.

I donate as much as possible rather than throw away but I do buy new things when necessary. What is said on the post is true buying at a thrift store does much good for the community in several ways.
