Under the list of examples of hate speech provided on YouTube’s policy site, the line “[Protected group status] is just a form of mental illness that needs to be cured,” was also removed. usermag.co/p/youtube-removes-g…

Just a few weeks ago, the governor of Iowa specifically removed “gender identity” from the state's anti-discrimination protections, becoming the first state to make such a change. usermag.co/p/youtube-removes-g…

YouTube (and their owners Google) are evil. Time to look for alternatives elsewhere.

PeerTube accounts' followers don't need to be on PeerTube.

People on Mastodon can follow and interact with PeerTube accounts, so if you set up a PT account you can encourage your Mastodon followers to follow it too (fedi.tips/how-do-i-use-peertub…).

People can also follow PeerTube accounts from podcasting apps such as Apple Podcasts (fedi.tips/how-to-subscribe-to-…).
