In Minnesota, the federal government is no longer a trusted authorityβ€”it’s an active threat. After ICE’s massive deployment and the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis resident, Governor Tim Walz has put the National Guard on alert and focused his efforts on defending his state from the regime’s escalating extremism. thinkbigpicture.substack.com/p…

I wonder is states legislatures can not vote a set of laws mandating what and how ICE must conduct on their states.
For examples:
They are allowed to approach calmly, presenting a court warrant and asking the undocumented person to follow them to a police station.
They are forbidden to engage in any policing operation without explicit approval from state on a case to case basis.
Violation, will lend them in jail.

In Minneapolis today at the Whipple Federal Building there was a protest after yesterday’s event,s On TV the sheer of Federal Agent’s around the building was way more then needed. Now hoe many Federal Agent’s did Trump call up to protect the US Capitol on Jan 6.2021? Checking my notes… The answer is zero.

I wonder if this will be a trend - state authorities distancing themselves from Washington, fortifying themselves against ICE and other unwelcome incursions, legislating to protect their citizens? I wonder also if this might lead to some states threatening to leave the Union?
