This may have been a facetious comment, but someone (I forget whom) has seriously suggested that their stipend should be related directly to some multiple of the federal minimum wage - for instance, if the federal minimum wage is $20. per hour, their pay would be 200K per year - and so on. That might work.
Wealth and income inequality has always been the most important issue. It's the problem behind all the other problems.
Most members of Congress are millionaires. Make that by far the biggest issue in every Congressional election.
I discovered about a year ago that some millionaire members of Congress were not millionaires before they became Congresspeople. How is that not proof of corruption?
