Hey everyone, I’m #newhere.

Hi, Yet another new pod. My earlier one was giving me performance issues - I'm not sure why. I'll be here for a few months, at least...

Shawn Andrew reshared this.

I came here looking for the conversation we had about expatting (is that a word? it is now)... must have been on the dysfunctional pod? anyways, you were looking for something affordable, and this passed under my nose a little while ago

One of the most affordable options is Armenia, which offers permanent residency for an investment of as little as $5,000, according to a report from International Living. This is available for those who claim to be "engaged in business activities," and does not require proof of a business plan.

To take advantage of this program, travelers must apply before Nov. 1, since that is when the country will implement sweeping changes to its residency laws, according to legal and accounting firm DOCUMAN. While it will still be possible to apply after that date, restrictions will be tighter, requiring documentation of a minimum business turnover or investment in an Armenian company. Armenian passport holders can travel visa-free to 64 destinations, per the Henley Passport Index.
