I mean, I get it. News organizations cover news, and people who die of heart disease and cancer aren't newsworthy. Can't really fault them for that.
It's on us, the consumers of media, to remember that the media presents things to it through that lens, and that they're not responsible for giving us the most accurate picture of reality. We are.
