What we are seeing in real time is a complete breakdown of the U.S. food inspection system. I mean, there are always minor recalls. I subscribe to a couple of sites that give all the announcements because of my need to know about recalls of food that mistakenly contain gluten, but this number of incidents is way more than I usually receive.
